To our Team Members, Healthcare Community Partners, and Friends of CDI:
2021 was an informative year. The world continues to navigate a new and ever-changing set of circumstances caused by a global health pandemic. While it’s clear that we’ve made meaningful progress at the worldwide level to diminish the rampant effects of this virus, it’s equally clear that we have further to go. Challenges persist and continue to affect everyone differently. The individual health burdens, stress to the local and national healthcare delivery system, and general anxiety created by COVID-19 throughout our communities are real. While we’ve seen improvements in some of these areas throughout 2021, we most certainly have not seen them go away.
This is why I call 2021 an informative year. While wishing it were different, I believe this year has taught us that, like many other maladies, COVID-19 will need to be managed for the long-term as a standard of care. We’ve also learned a lot about being resilient and how to live our daily lives and work in an environment that continues to change and present new risks.
We’ve learned that people want to continue living their lives, that patients want to continue seeking care, and that providers want to continue to provide care. However, we’ve also learned that with all of this comes a certain trepidation for most everyone involved. At CDI we understand and talk a lot about this dynamic. We know that “normal” has a very different definition depending on whom you might ask right now, and we’re committed to contributing toward a continuity of care for our providers and patients that they deserve while simultaneously doing everything possible to mitigate any trepidation that might come along with it.
The human element will come first in everything that we do and in every decision we make. This year we’re looking forward to taking what was informative in 2021 and making it actionable in 2022. The core characteristics of our company – things like our resourcefulness and quick ability to adapt – will help us tremendously in continuing to personalize our service offerings to create the best experience possible for our healthcare providers and their patients in this new environment.
Disease and malady are the great equalizers. We all come to learn this eventually through experience; I know I have. They are what remind us that we’re all human and that we’re all vulnerable. But they are also what reminds us to be grateful. Grateful for all that we have now and all that we strive for in the future. In 2022, with these human considerations in mind, CDI’s primary objective is to provide the highest level of care paired with the most efficient and simplistic form of service possible for our healthcare providers and their patients. And to do it with compassion at the very heart of our mission.

- We continue to stand by our 1-business-day turnaround for breath test results, and our experienced laboratory staff is focused on optimizing processes that help expedite diagnostic and treatment plans via more precise and timely results.
- We are helping our provider partners improve staff efficiency and reduce overhead while generating more revenue with each test.
- Our technology team is developing a new provider portal that will help providers seamlessly review all patient results in one place.
