2024 was another transformative year for CDI. It was a year that tested our resilience, celebrated our innovation, and reinforced our unwavering commitment to improving lives through advanced diagnostic solutions. This past year, we tested our limits, sharpened our focus, and reaffirmed our commitment to the community of patients and healthcare providers we serve.
Celebrating 2024 Achievements
Our performance this year has been a testament to our team’s collective dedication and ingenuity. While navigating an increasingly complex and ever-changing healthcare environment, in 2024, CDI achieved significant performance improvements in every facet, which is a testament to our team’s collective dedication and ingenuity.
Key achievements include:
- Operational Excellence: Moved into our new state-of-the-art laboratory and corporate headquarters that will provide expanded capacity and improved efficiencies to maintain industry-leading turnaround times.
- Growing Provider Network: We onboarded 855 new providers throughout the year, enhancing access to our diagnostic solutions nationwide.
- Increasing Volume Growth: CDI shipped over 68,000 test kits to patients nationwide in 2024 and analyzed more than 29,500 tests.
- New Customer Wins & Building on Existing Customer Relationships: In 2024, CDI’s top three accounts tested more than 1,000 patients – with our top account testing more than 3,400 patients – and our top 10 accounts tested more than 500 patients this year. This increase in annual testing across all of CDI’s top provider accounts is a testament to the trust these practices have placed in us to efficiently and effectively service their patients, and we’re proud of the partnerships we’ve created across the community to date.
- Expanding Accessibility: We prioritized patient access, strengthened our in-network footprint, and bolstered partnerships to solidify our presence in critical markets, particularly in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Minnesota, Illinois, Massachusetts, and the Pacific Northwest regions. This effort reflects our deep commitment to affordability and inclusivity for patients nationwide, and it continues to ensure broad access to our diagnostic services in rural areas or underserved populations.
- Providers and Patient Engagement: Through initiatives like new instructional videos and translated patient guides (now available in seven languages), and our “Breath Testing Done Right” content series and the Modern Gastro Podcast, we enhanced education, support, and engagement for both providers and their patients, resulting in a 36% increase in web traffic and an 8,550% increase in social media engagement.
These metrics highlight CDI’s operational strength but are more than just numbers. These results reflect another year of extremely hard and honest work by everyone on our team. We strengthened partnerships, continued to build a strong foundation for sustained success, and assisted many 10’s of thousands of patients and healthcare providers around the country in their journey to find answers for their digestive distress.
While the results are certainly something to be proud of, the real wins came along the way when we stood true to our mission and provided the best service possible to anyone who needed it.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we enter 2025, we remain committed to a bold and transformative vision that focuses on sharpening our service offerings and creating a sustainable culture where innovation and impact intersect to create the most value possible for our healthcare providers and their patients. In navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of healthcare technology, we are more committed than ever to the principles that have guided CDI’s journey: innovation, excellence, and an unwavering focus on patient outcomes.
Below are a few of the primary areas of focus for CDI throughout 2025:
- Expanding Market Reach: Continue prioritizing in-network contracting in underserved regions and across key markets and deepening partnerships with leading healthcare entities to ensure more patients can access our diagnostic services.
- Sustaining Operational Excellence: Enhance lab workflows and leverage data analytics to optimize performance and scalability.
- Enhancing Provider and Patient Experiences: Empower patients and providers by introducing new digital capabilities to bridge gaps in care delivery, as well as upgrading our platforms and resources, including MyGI Gateway, to provide seamless, user-friendly experiences and more effective engagement.
- Operational Efficiency: Address supply chain vulnerabilities while optimizing workflows for greater scalability and sustainability.
- Fostering Employee Growth: Invest in professional development and diversity to ensure CDI remains a workplace of choice.
With these strategic initiatives, we are targeting a 10-15% year-over-year growth in test volumes, increased provider retention, and a broader reach into underserved communities.
